Company Overview

The Canadian Geothermal Energy Association (www.CanGEA.ca) is the collective voice of Canada’s geothermal energy industry with a focus on power generation and commercial scale direct use of heat from geothermal energy resources typically found 1-4 km deep. As a non-profit industry association, we represent the interests of our member companies with the primary goal of unlocking the country’s tremendous geothermal energy potential. Geothermal energy can provide competitively-priced, renewable, around-the-clock energy to the Canadian and U.S. markets CanGEA promotes the industry and the potential of geothermal energy in Canada through outreach events, research, policy work and representation of Canadian interests internationally. CanGEA is not involved in the development of low temperature geothermal resources utilized for commercial and residential heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems – usually referred to as geo-exchange or geothermal heat pump systems.
