The closed-cycle geothermal technology WeHEAT by MS Energy Solutions was the recipient of two special awards during the Highlights of Hungary 2022.

The WeHEAT closed-cycle geothermal heat system developed by MS Energy Solutions was awarded two special prizes during the Highlights of Hungary 2022 following a public vote.

More specifically, the technology was awarded the ESG special award by KPMG Hungary for being the “most in line with UN sustainable development global goals and furthermore connects KPMG’s long-term sustainability and business plan.” WeHEAT was also awarded the special sustainability prize by EXIM Hungary for being the “greenest” innovation aligned with global climate goals.

Highlights of Hungary is a non-profit organization that annually rewards the most outstanding Hungarian creative achievements. Their goals are to help the creators to reach a new audience, and to admit and widespread the most inspirational Hungarian achievements and stories.

Wells for Heat Exchanger Advanced Technology (WeHEAT) is a completely closed system technology that allows for direct heat consumption by “mining” geothermal heat for users in the vicinity of a well. Its greatest advantage is that it generates geothermal energy WITHOUT extraction of underground water. The first such system was implemented in 2021 to produce geothermal heat from an abandoned oil well at Kiskunhalas, Hungary.

The entire MS team is proud to receive these special prizes, and believe that these awards represent the great opportunities that WeHEAT will be capable of. On behalf of the entire company Adrienn Szekszárdi, the technical director of MS Energy Solutions Ltd., was representing the company at the award ceremony hosted in the House of Music Hungary.
