The government of Montserrat in the Caribbean reports that Iceland Drilling has started the drilling of two production wells for a geothermal project.

Reported this morning by government officials, Montserrat officially has begun drilling for geothermal energy on Sunday.

After resolving “a couple of last minute mechanical issues with the rig, drilling began commenced in Cork Hill on the first of two production wells on Montserrat.

Drilling is provided by Iceland Drilling, a geothermal drilling specialist from Iceland that previously drilled in the Caribbean in Dominica.
