Drilling is conducted by Iceland Drilling, an Icelandic geothermal drilling company.

U.S.-based Geothermal Resources Group GRG is providing expert drilling supervision for this project.

Montserrat has been working on the geothermal project since 2012, having already drilled two wells. With the third well now being drilled it is expected that the project can move in the development of an actual geothermal power plant that could power the island, which belongs to the UK.
