TGDC is calling for EOIs for consultancy services for the supervision of detailed surface studies in the Natron geothermal prospect in Tanzania.

The Tanzania Geothermal Development Company (TGDC) has published a call for Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the provision of consultancy services for the supervision of a detailed surface study at the Natron Geothermal Prospect in the Arusha Region, Tanzania. The implementation period for the contract will be for four months.

EOIs must be submitted online before 9 May 2023, 10 AM Tanzania time. Submissions must be done online via the TANePS portal. EOIs not submitted through TANePS shall not be included in evaluation irrespective of other circumstances.

Interested Firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services by submitting consultant’s profile, description of similar assignments in Geothermal, experience in similar conditions in Geothermal, availability of appropriate skills in Geothermal among staff, etc. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications. The Consultant’s knowledge and experience in geothermal exploration and other related operations, safety, contracting, environmental management, social assessment, and planning are particularly important.

The Natron Surface Study will be financed by the funds that TGDC has received from the Government of Tanzania and a grant from the Geothermal Risk Mitigation Facility for Eastern Africa (GRMF).

Geothermal development in Tanzania is in full swing with ongoing projects at Kiejo-Mbaka, Ngozi, and Songwe.
