GDC intends to prequalify bidders for a project in Menengai Geothermal field consisting of 2x30-35 MW Geothermal Modular power plants on a 25 year Build-Own-Operate basis.

The Geothermal Development Company (GDC) Ltd intends to prequalify bidders to finance, design, procure/manufacture, supply, install/construct, test, commission, operate and maintain (2×30-35)MW Geothermal Modular power plants on a 25 year Build-Own-Operate (BOO) basis in its Menengai Geothermal field. Through this process, it is planned that two different and independent bidders will be selected each to install a 30MW Geothermal Modular Power Plant to be commissioned by the end of December, 2015.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the prequalification document from the office of Manager, Supply Chain at Riverside Office, along Riverside Drive between 9.00am and 4.00pm during week days. The document can also be viewed and downloaded from the website www.gdc.co.ke for free of charge. Bidders who download the tender document from the website must forward their particulars immediately for records and any further tender clarifications and addenda.
