Sales have started for the natural fruits dried in Balikesir, Sindirgi Geothermal Vegetable and Fruit Drying Facility.

The “Geothermal Vegetable and Fruit Drying Plant”, which was established under the leadership of Balikesir Metropolitan Municipality as we have reported before, has now started production.

The drying facility was entitled to be supported with its project named “Healthy Food with Geothermal” within the scope of the Social Development Support Program (SOGEP) carried out by Balikesir Metropolitan Municipality, Ministry of Industry and Technology Development Agencies General Directorate. The facility was implemented under the leadership of Balikesir Metropolitan Municipality, in partnership with Sindirgi Municipality, Balikesir Tarim Ürünleri AS, Balikesir Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, SS Osmanlar Mahallesi Agricultural Development Cooperative and Yaylabayir Agricultural Development Cooperative.

Natural fruits dried at the Sindirgi Geothermal Vegetable and Fruit Drying Facility started to take their place on the shelves. The products offered for sale in provinces such as Balikesir, Kusadasi, Izmir and Bursa are planned to be delivered to all parts of Turkey through the Agricultural Credit Cooperative markets.

Sindirgi Mayor Ekrem Yavas made a statement on the subject: “Geothermal resources are a very prominent concept in the natural city of Sindirgi. The Balkuru factory, which we use to dry geothermal agricultural products, is now operational. The products we produce are in high demand due to the fact that they are a natural product, no additives are offered, and people’s needs for natural foods are in high demand, and we strive to put this on the shelves in elite markets, gas stations on the road and in different areas where our citizens can easily reach. Today, we are trying to offer it to consumers in different channels, from Kusadasi to Ankara, Bursa and Istanbul. These crisps are especially suitable for children, and instead of feeding them with different fatty and harmful foods, the dried form of the fruit on the branch, that is, the most crispy form of the fruit in the season, is pleasant and enjoyable to eat, I hope to see these products on the shelves in Turkey very soon. You will have the opportunity. The most natural dried fruits are now on the shelves. Take it, taste it, and contribute to our farmer.”
