Geothermal exploration will be carried out at four sites to depth of 1,000 meters in the 3,120 hectare licensed area at the Silifke district in Mersin, Türkiye.

Exploration drilling for geothermal resources will be done by Haci Bektas Ulutop at four different locations within the Akdere Neighborhood of Silifke district in Mersin, Türkiye.

Work will be carried out within the scope of the license number 2023/04 (ER:3416275) granted by the Investment Monitoring and Coordination Department of the Mersin Governorship.

Drilling is planned at four different locations within the 3,120-hectare licensed area. The parcels identified as part of the EIA are located in the Akdere/Cumhuriyet and Akdere/Atatürk neighborhoods. Each well is expected to reach a depth of approximately 1,000 ±150 meters . The work will last two months, with an eight-person team working eight hours a day.

The project’s investment cost is estimated at over TL 9 million. Once the drilling is complete, a decision on whether to proceed with production will be based on the temperature, pressure, and fluid properties obtained.
