The Cipkoy Geothermal Greenhouse Area, being built in the Municipality of Elazig in Turkiye is expected to be operational by May 2023.

A geothermal greenhouse is being constructed by the Municipality of Elazig in Turkiye on a 15,000-sq. meter area and is expected to be operational by May 2023. As the only greenhouse of its kind in the region, it is expected to produce approximately 20 million domestic seedlings in the first stage of operations.

5 million of the 20 million native seedlings (Ancestral Seeds) to be produced will be distributed to citizens free of charge.

Casting works for the pole anchors have started in the Cipkoy Village Geothermal Greenhouse Area. This will also be an important project for employment and the development of the region. The geothermal greenhouse to be established in the area will have a closed area of approximately 10 decares. In the field, the construction of a two-storey steel construction administrative building with a 600 square meter usage area is also continuing.

In the geothermal greenhouse area, where infrastructure, soil improvement, stone wall construction, and reinforced concrete wall construction works have been completed, work on the construction of a reinjection well with a depth of 2000 meters will be started soon in line with the protocol signed with the General Directorate of MTA.
