The newly released Innovation Inventory Geothermal Heat report by Geothermal Netherlands and EBN shares more than 120 ideas to help geothermal energy to grow in the Netherlands.
Geothermal Netherlands and EBN have carried out an inventory of the innovation needs of the geothermal energy sector in the Netherlands. This resulted in more than 120 ideas, that have now been presented in an inventory document, downloadable here.
The inventory shows that innovation can make an important contribution to the sector’s ambitions to make geothermal energy even safer, more profitable and more applicable. Moreover, innovation can contribute to the social acceptance of geothermal energy and many of the aforementioned innovations will already be applicable in the coming years. The innovation inventory has become an interactive report that provides a good overview of the wealth of ideas that lives within the sector. The inventory is a first step for the geothermal energy sector that must contribute to the main goal: innovate for a more efficient connection to the heat demand, reduce costs across the entire value chain and life cycle and further increase safety.
The overview contributes to the ambitions of the sector to make geothermal energy even safer, more profitable and more applicable.
