Geothermal is seeing impressive growth in Turkey, where projects are mushrooming all over the country. This is not only helping the country cut their need for fossil fuels or by expanding their renewable base, it is also helping one of the country’s firms to grow at mind-blowing speed.

According to local news, “Maren Maras Elektrik in southern Turkey has been named the fastest growing company in Turkey with a growth rate of 8,754 percent between 2011 and 2013 in a national ranking made by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).The company, owned by Kipas Holding, mainly focuses on geothermal energy.”

Demand for power is high in Turkey and this proves that geothermal apart from being clean and renewable, it can be a very lucrative investment.
