In this fantastic video, EGEC provides an overview how Geothermal District heating works.
The European Geothermal Energy Council (EGEC) published already in late 2014 a great video introduction on geothermal district heating.
With heating playing a major role in the energy market in Europe, there are currently lots of discussions regarding energy security and independence.
Many European countries depend on the import of gas to fuel their demand for heating. With a certain political instability due to the events in Ukraine/ Russia, the issue of becoming independent from Russian gas are a daily topic in Brussels.
Geothermal could play an important role in many countries in Eastern Europe. But also countries like France and the Netherlands are looking at geothermal to cover at least parts of the heating demand.
So this video, published by EGEC in 2014 provides a great overview how geothermal district heating works.
