The Iceland Geothermal Conference 2016 is announcing Michael Porter, one of the worlds' most Influential Business Thinkers as keynote speaker for the event taking place April 26 to April 29, 2016.

The Iceland Geothermal Conference 2016 is announcing Michael Porter, one of the worlds’ most Influential Business Thinkers as keynote speaker for the event taking place April 26 to April 29, 2016.

Michael Porter, a Harvard Business School professor, was announced one of the 50 most influential business thinkers in the world, according to Thinkers50, a ranking just published in November 2015.

Professor Porter – Initiated the mapping of Iceland Geothermal Cluster Initiative in cooperation with the consulting company Gekon. He and his colleaque
Dr. Christian Ketels introduced their findings in November 2010 at the first Iceland Geothermal Conference held in Reykjavik.

Their work helped to establish the basis of the cluster creation and encouraged the Icelandic geothermal industry to strengthen itself and to focus on value creation by maximizing the utilization of our geothermal resource.
