With a 295 °C Well Bottom Temperature,Turkey’s Hottest Well Opened in Cappadocia

The temperature in the well head varies between 165-190 ° C according to the openness of the valve.

Although the well was completed earlier, the test steps are still taking place due to the winter conditions. With this value, the Sivrihisar-3 Geothermal Exploration Well has the bottom temperature of 295 ° C and the record for the hottest well of Turkey is taken from the Manisa Köseali MAK2010 well, which recorded a temperature of  287 ° C at a depth of 2,750 m.

The Sivrihisar-3 well proves that the Cappadocia region has a great energy generating capacity and potential. It is no doubt that this temperature will make Cappadocia region a center of attraction for energy companies in the coming years.
