For the 4th time, IGC Invest will be bringing together decision makers, investors, and developers from all segments of the global geothermal sector.

Once again we are happy to announce the IGC Invest Geothermal taking place in Frankfurt, Main in Germany on March 16 and 17, 2023.

The event is dedicated to numerous interesting topics about geothermal energy. In addition to an insight into various European markets, participants can find out about future-oriented technologies and funding schemes as well as get in touch with investors. Special emphasis will also be put on the challenges of economic viability and risk assessment and the question of which factors need to be specially supported in order to generate ten terawatt hours of energy from geothermal by 2030 in Germany will be discussed by experts.

On the first day of the event, March 16, this year’s conference will focus on the question of how the targeted ten terawatt hours of energy from geothermal can be achieved for Germany by 2030. A current cross-impact analysis will show at which concrete points subsidies can be used effectively according to experts. Subsequently, IGC Invest Geothermal will look outside Germany and cover various inner-European markets. Before the first day will be closed by a social Ice Breaker event in the evening current uprising geothermal projects within Europe will be presented.

The second day will start by looking at economic viability and risk assessment in the geothermal energy sector before various investors are invited to present their companies, their role in geothermal energy and their ambitions for the future. After some flavourful lunch refreshment, the current funding instruments in Germany, Switzerland and the rest of Europe will be presented within the second half of the Conference day of March 17. The event will be concluded by a presentation of various future-oriented technologies that could be of great importance for the development of the industry.
