U.S.-based geothermal association Geothermal Rising is currently looking for a new Executive Director.

U.S.-based geothermal non-profit organization Geothermal Rising is looking for a candidate the fill the open Executive Director position. Interested candidates may submit their resumes to georisingpres@gmail.com.

Founded in 1972, Geothermal Rising (formerly Geothermal Resources Council) is the largest direct-membership professional and trade association serving the geothermal industry, with over 1,200 members representing a broad and diverse demographic from across the geothermal community. Members include individuals, corporations, universities, national laboratories, government, and other nongovernmental organizations.

The Executive Director has overall responsibility to ensure that objectives of the organization are clearly  communicated to all, aligned with the organization’s activities, and achieved. The  Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors, has primary responsibility for supervision of personnel and directing the work products from Geothermal Rising’s association management firm. The Director shall set the overall tone for the organization to ensure that day-to-day management of personnel, communications, and finances is done in a professional and timely manner. GR must operate as a professional and well-run organization.

The Geothermal Rising Conference (GRC), scheduled from August 28 to 31, 2022, is the geothermal industry’s largest annual conference and is currently ongoing as of the date of publishing of this article.
