We have reported extensively on the Haute-Sorne geothermal project in the Canton of Jura in Switzerland. The project was suspended in 2020 over concerns of seismic activity, a decision  that was influenced by an earthquake event in South Korea. In 2022, the project was restarted after the Canton of Jura, Geo-Energie Suisse, and Geo-Energie Jura signed a new agreement that addresses the concerns about the project. Once commissioned, the planned power plant in Haute-Sorne will have a 5MW capacity.
