Work to continue this year on Nevada Play Fairway, that is to to reduce risk in developing new geothermal systems to produce geothermal power in Nevada's Great Basin.

A review provides a positive economic outlook for the State of Nevada in the U.S. In the article, Nevada Business highlights ongoing economic development and challenges.

It also highlights the work on the final phase of the Nevada Play Fairway project by Nevada Bureau of Mines and Geology at UNR, which is to continue this year.

The research aims to refine geothermal exploration strategies, thereby reducing the risks involved in developing new geothermal systems to produce commercial electricity in Nevada’s Great Basin. Drilling should finish this year and be followed by development of new geophysical surveys. Release of a final report is anticipated in the spring of 2019.
