New geothermal lease sale in Nevada, California and Utah in July 2009

As announced by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management there will be new geothermal lease sales in California, Nevada and Utah in July 2009.

The “competitive oral sale of Federal lands for geothermal leasing” will take place on July 14, 2009 at the BLM, Nevada State Office in Reno. This applies for the leases to be sold in California , Nevada and Utah.

In Nevada, 112 parcels with a total of 337,000 acres are offered in the competitive sale. Details on the sale in Nevada can be found here.

In California, 19 parcels with a total of 11,390 acres are offered in the competitive sale. Details on the sale in California are unfortunately not posted on the BLM site (or I am not able to find it there).

In Utah, one parcel of 228 acres is for sale. Details on the sale in Utah can be found here.
