Registration has been opened for the 3rd Iceland Geothermal Conference to take place April 26-29, 2015 in Reykjavik/ Iceland. The event will feature the conference, networking events, conference dinner, field trips and a trade show element.

Today, the organisers of the 3rd Iceland Geothermal Conference have opened the event for registration. Iceland Geothermal Conference which will take place April 26-29, 2015 in Reyjavik/ Iceland is hosted by the Iceland Geothermal Cluster Initiative and is based on the experience from the same conference that took place in 2013.

This time the conference will focus on the advantages of utilising geothermal energy and how they will benefit us. In collaboration with our sponsors, speakers and guests, we want to drill deep into three main topics: Operability – Feasibility – Practicality. 

The objective of Iceland Geothermal Conference is to increase awareness of the geothermal energy resource, build up new opportunities for delegates and increase awareness of the value of geothermal resource.

The registration fee of IGC 2016 includes:

  • Attendance of IGC 2016
  • Program activities
  • Conference material,
  • Refreshments during conference breaks;
  •  coffee breaks, lunch breaks, welcome reception on April 26th and Conference Dinner on Day 2
  • Field trip on day two – based on selection upon registration

 

Extensive and inclusive program

The program overview has now been published on the event’s website, and includes over 50 presentations from all around the world, demonstrating new ideas, new solutions and the best practices for building up business opportunities in the field of geothermal.

Experience and Opportunities

To maximize experience and opportunities for delegates and to build up new business opportunities and relationships during their participation, there will be organised several extensive field trips – for option included in registration fee and one post conference trip, B2B program and a brand awareness exhibition during the event.

The objective of these field trips is to maximize the participant’s opportunities for understanding geothermal resource utilization in Iceland and offer the experience to directly interact with geothermal technology and professionals behind its operation. The following field trips are scheduled within the IGC 2016 agenda:

  • Hellisheiði Power Plant
  • Hveragerði Geothermal Village
  • Reykjanes Resource Park
  • Visit to the Verne Global Data Center – the smart data centre solution
  • Theistareykir – optional trip on 29th of April 2016

B2B – Matchmaking Event & Trade Show

The event will also feature an International matchmaking event in Geothermal. This event will be running parallel to the conference IGC2016 on day 3 – Thursday 28th of April and will give participants opportunities to meet and exchange information between possible technological/business partners. There will also be a brand awareness exhibition, which will be open throughout the whole conference.
