The inaugural Deep Geothermal Days event, that took place April 10-11, 2014 in conjunction with the Geothermal Days event in Paris France, was a big success with 150 professionals from 21 countries in attendance.

In a release, the organizers of the very first Deep Geothermal Days  report that more than 150 professionals from 21 countries attended the event earlier this month in Paris, France.

During the 2 days of conferences exclusively dedicated to deep geothermal activities, delegates could also exchange with professionals on the joint trade show which combined the 49 booths from Deep Geothermal Days and from the French Journées de la Géothermie.

Two dedicated poster sessions where 36 posters were explained and detailed by their authors had a great success.

As mentioned by Dr Albert Genter, member of the Deep Geothermal Days scientific committee and member of the IGA Board of Directors: “The Deep Geothermal Days gave us the opportunity to present an updated snapshot of operational projects going on in Europe and especially in France, Germany and Switzerland.

We could also notice that environmental and acceptability topics meant a great deal to the attending delegates.

We hope to make it even better for next year’s Deep Geothermal Days.”

The event also featured a trade show with 49 booths as part of the French Geothermal Days (Journées de la Géothermie)
