Geothermal Engineering has issued a tender notice for the provision of well testing steam separator for its United Downs Deep Geothermal Project, Cornwall/ UK.

Provision of a Geothermal Well Testing Steam Separator for Geothermal Wells at the United Downs Deep Geothermal Power Project (UDDGP), Cornwall UK

Geothermal Engineering Ltd (GEL) is seeking bids for the provision of a geothermal well steam separator for use during testing of two deep geothermal wells at the United Downs Deep Geothermal Power project located near Redruth in Cornwall, UK.

Produced water will be pumped at between 10 – 40 litres/second at 150 – 170 deg C surface flowing temperatures through a flowhead and choke to the steam separator. Connections should be standard well testing chiksan connections to connect test line to steam separator. Chimney should be designed to allow steam evolution and dissipation i.e. large enough diameter and tall enough to direct the produced steam up the chimney away from personnel at ground level. The steam separator must be available to buy or for rental to be onsite by mid to late May 2021.

The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.

The closing date for the bids is 9th April 2021. Bids must reach GEL by no later than 1500 GMT on 9th April 2021 For more detailed specifications please contact Jonathan Beynon jonathan.beynon[at]geothermalengineering.co.uk
