Two Turkish companies sign MOU for the development of geothermal and gas power projects in the province of Aceh in Indonesia.

Reported this morning from Indonesia, two Turkish companies, Hitay Holding USA and Aksa Enerji Uretim AS, have today signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Aceh for geothermal and gas power generation projects in the province of Aceh, Indonesia.

This was conveyed by Head of Public Relations and Protocol Bureau of Aceh Regional Secretary Mulyadi Nurdin, based on information obtained from the Aceh delegation who was in Turkey today.

Mulyadi Nurdin said the MoU was signed by Aceh Governor Irwandi Yusuf and Hitay Holding Chairman Mehmet Emin Hitay and Director of Uretim Energy Company, Nesim Ibrahimhakkioglu and Enersis Chairman Sahin Uruc.

In the Mou, Hitay Company as an investor and developer will develop a geothermal project portfolio for geothermal power generation in Aceh.

Hitay will work with the Government of Aceh to obtain a preliminary survey permit and exploration to develop geothermal assets and to manage the project’s financing.

In addition Hitay Company will also carry out site development through reliable contractors for procurement and construction drilling.

Meanwhile, Uretim Energy Company Aksa will invite another company, Enersis to manage a gas power plant in Aceh.

“Aksa and Enersis will provide all the technology, goods and services necessary for investment and operation of power plants,” he said.

Aksa will also work with the Aceh Government to obtain the necessary permits for the development, development and operation of power plants and to manage project financing.
