We have reported on the likely first crowdfunding campaign for a geothermal project, here previously … and it is now clear that the United Downs Deep Geothermal Project in Cornwall has successfully raised GBP 4.4 million ($5.7 million).
The funding was thought in the form of bond financing through Abundance, a renewable energy focused crowdfunding platform.
