In conjunction with the upcoming Praxisforum Geothermie Bayern, EGEC and the GEORISK project together with Enerchange are hosting a webinar on Geothermal risk assessment and de-risking tools on 26 September 2019. Registration required.

The annual Praxisforum Geothermie.Bayern conference taking place 7-9 October 2019 in Munich/ Germany and the GEORISK project are holding a webinar on “Geothermal risk assessment and de-risking tools” on 26 September 2019.

The market for geothermal energy in Europe has enjoyed significant growth for the past 5 years. Today, there are nearly 300 geothermal district heating systems in operation in Europe, with a total installed capacity of about 5 GWth. Total installed power capacity is now more than 3 GWe. The power sector has doubled its capacity in 6 years. Meanwhile, the shallow geothermal sector is displaying continuous growth, approaching the threshold of 2 million units installed.

Geothermal project development has several risky components, the most important one being the resource risk. The GEORISK project works to establish risk insurance all over Europe and in some key target third countries to cover risks associated with the development and the operation of a deep geothermal plant.

In preparation for the upcoming Praxisforum Geothermie.Bayern in Munich, GEORISK project and Enerchange would like to invite you to the pre-event webinar, taking place on Thursday 26 September 2019, from 11:00 to 12:00 CEST time (UTC +2). Participation is free-of-charge but requires registration.

Please click here  to register before Tuesday 24 September 2019.

GEORISK project will also organize a workshop during Praxiforum Geothermie.Bayern, on 7 October 2019 – 14:00-18:00. This workshop aims at identifying the conditions for a transition in the insurance schemes, according to market maturity for geothermal projects. This will notably include a presentation of the first results of the GEORISK project. The workshop aims also to create a discussion between the project partners, the members of the Advisory committee and the other participants to the workshop.
