The U.S. Department of Energy's Geothermal Technologies Office has released its 2016 Annual Report, highlighting achievements and efforts by the office on geothermal research on a variety of key topics.

The U.S. Department of Energy’s Geothermal Technologies Office has announced the release of its 2016 Annual Report.

The report, so the GTO, recognizes the advancements made in transformative, high-risk/ high-reward science and engineering from the portfolio activities of the office.

The report for the year 2016, highlights achievements and the continued efforts made in all of the program areas of the GTO, namely Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS), Hydrothermal, Low Temperature and Co-produced Resources, and Systems Analysis – which are flanked by useful tools, resources, and links to more information.

Highlights further include FORGE and EGS advancements, projects reducing geothermal costs and risks, and advancements in technology research and development.
