Now official, the GRC Geothermal Library is launched and provides over 35,000 records and 6,000 pdfs available for download.

Having praised the library before, it is now officially launched by GRC.

“The new and improved GRC Geothermal Library is fully operational, with a streamlined interface making geothermal research easier. Features include basic and advanced searches, sorting options, the ability to produce customized lists of citations and PDF downloads.

The GRC Geothermal Library contains approximately 35,000 records on all aspects of geothermal energy, including exploration, reservoir engineering, power plant design and operation, direct use, geothermal heat pumps, regulatory issues, energy policy, energy markets, news briefs, and more.

The library provides article-level citations to: all GRC Transactions (1977 to present), all GRC Special Reports, numerous feature articles and news briefs from the GRC Bulletin (1973 to present), corporate and academic technical reports, journals, and books.

“I test drove the web-based GRC Geothermal Library. Based on the number of quality titles that instantly came up after simple term and name searches, I think this will become an extremely useful tool,” said Andrew Sabin, Director, Navy Geothermal Program, China Lake, California.

Over 6,000 PDFs from GRC publications are now available for free download by all users. There will be access to an additional 13,000 PDFs in the coming weeks. Additional features, such as emailing citation lists, are also under development. The GRC Geothermal Library can be accessed from https://www.geothermal-library.org.
