The Australian Geothermal Energy Conference in Adelaide last week, closes with a series of presenters focusing on the need for further government support of the industry in Australia.

Reported from Australia, the recently held Australian Geothermal Energy Conference, in Adelaide, was a successful event that “focused on paving the way forward for the geothermal industry.”

Arthur Sinodinos, Senior Adviser Business Banking and Private Wealth, National Australia Bank, headlined the conference, along with New South Wales Chief Scientist and Chair of the Australian Centre for Renewable Energy Professor Mary O’Kane.

The conference hosted an awards ceremony during the Gala Dinner celebrating contributions to the geothermal industry, with Jim Lawless, Geothermal Practice Leader with Sinclair Knight Merz receiving the Chairman’s Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Industry.”
