Calpine's President and CEO praises "extraordinary efforts" of the team at The Geysers geothermal power generation facilities following the wild fires this summer.

In its recent reporting on third quarter financial results, Calpine reports that its Geysers geothermal facilities are back to 80 % of full capacity and praises its team on site.

After the wild fires of California this summer, several cooling towers and transmission infrastructures at the geothermal complex at the Geysers was damaged.

Reporting on the positive financial results, Thad Hill, Calpine’s President and Chief Executive Officer said that “he would like to recognize (our) team at The Geysers whose extraordinary efforts have resulted in production already reaching approximately 575 net MW, or nearly 80% of full capacity.”
