The Deep Geothermal Energy Forum 2026 (Praxisforum Tiefengeothermie 2026) will be taking place once again on 14-16 October 2026 in the community center of Pullach im Isartal, in Bavaria, Germany. The Praxisforum Tiefengeothermie provides an ideal platform for the comprehensive exchange of information between planners, operators, investors, industry, politics, and science. Since its premiere in 2013, originally as the Praxisforum Geothermie Bayern, the event has established itself as one of the leading industry gatherings in the German-speaking world with its independent program design.
With workshops, various forums, and an excursion to the Pullach Sud drilling site, the Praxisforum Tiefengeothermie supports the ramp-up of deep geothermal energy in Germany and promotes the practical transfer of knowledge between stakeholders. “Especially in Germany, we are still largely defenseless against rising energy costs – not just in times of crisis. This is because we remain enormously dependent on imports of fossil fuels. Against this backdrop, deep geothermal energy, as a domestic, climate-friendly, and baseload-capable energy source, is gaining even more strategic importance,” says Dr. Jochen Schneider, organizer of the Praxisforum Tiefengeothermie.
The Praxisforum Tiefengeothermie will also recognize particular successful projects, and will present its honorary prize for outstanding contributions to deep geothermal energy.
