Enel Green Power has appointed Luca Rossini as new manager for Operations and Maintenance Geothermal. He has a great experience of work in Latin America and project management globally.

As reported this week from Italy, Enel Green Power has appointed Luca Rossini  as the new Head of Operations & Maintenance  Geothermal Energy . Rossini, born in 1960, graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the University of  Pisa, the city where he still resides.

Rossini is a  great expert in the field of geothermal. He was hired by Enel in 1989 in the geothermal plant engineering structure, of which over the years he became project manager for the new plants in the  provinces of Pisa, Siena and Grosseto , and subsequently held the position of manager of the Operations at Larderello,  contributing for three years to the efficiency and excellence of this activity.

In 2006 Rossini moved abroad: he lived for about three years in  Costa Rica, where he held the position  of construction manager of geothermal plants in Latin America , following in particular the realization of the Cerro Pabellon project, in the Andes in Chile , an innovative 40 MW geothermal plant built at 4,500 meters above sea level. Returning to Italy, he first held the position of head of global construction of Enel Green Power, then head of EGP global project management and from 2019  head of execution area North America, Central America, Africa, Asia and Oceania  of Enel Green Power itself.

In these 11 years, Rossini has contributed to the  consolidation of Enel Green Power’s presence in the world  and to the  spread of renewable energy globally , taking care of the construction of plants in 18 countries for a total of 17 GW of installed capacity (shared between hydroelectric, wind, solar) and contributing to the energy transition in terms of sustainable development.

Luca Rossini therefore returns to  Tuscany  after having gained important and prestigious experiences in Italy and abroad in the  field of  geothermal and renewable energy , ready to continue in the development of geothermal energy in the regional territory in the wake of a company policy focused on the criteria of innovation, excellence. technological and environmental sustainability.
