PPC Renewables reports strong international interest for its Call for Expressions of Interest for a strategic partnership on geothermal development in Greece.

As we reported earlier this year, PPC Renewables, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Public Power Corporation SA, Greece’s largest power generation company had issued a call for expressions of interest for geothermal development in Greece.

The company now announces having completed the submission of the Phase A of the selection process of a strategic partners for electricity generation from geothermal power plants.

Seven (7) Expressions of Interest were submitted, indicating the strong interest of the international and local market to partner with PPC Renewables S.A (PPCR) in this unique project for Greece, one of the few high-potential untapped Geothermal Power Plants projects in Europe.

The interested parties that submitted Expression of Interest are:

  • Storengy
  • Enel Green Power Hellas
  • Zorlu Energy – TURBODEN
  • MAREN Maras Elektrik Üretim San. Ve Tic. A.S.

PPCR will shortly announce the names of the interested parties who meet the pre-qualification criteria and qualify for the Phase B of the Selection Process. During Phase B, eligible partners will be granted access to the terms and conditions of the Selection Process as well as available information about the Geothermal Power Plants Project and the Transaction.
