It is time to nominate your favourite for the 2017 European Geothermal Innovation Awards to be announced and presented at the GeoTHERM expo & congress in Offenburg/ Germany, February 15-16, 2016.

The European Geothermal Innovation Award is awarded annually to companies which have made an outstanding contribution towards the field of geothermal energy in the form of innovative products, scientific research or project initiatives.

It is the seal of excellence applied to the most intelligent and important ideas in research and industry which will play a key role in the future development of geothermal energy. Nominations will be assessed on grounds of originality, innovation, reliability, reduction of emissions, and improvements in energy output.

The award is organised jointly by the European Geothermal Energy Council and Messe Offenburg, organisers of the GeoTHERM fair and congress to take place February 15-16, 2016 in Offenburg/ Germany.

The winner will receive:

  • a one page profile in the EGEC newsletter
  • their profile on the EGEC website
  • press coverage
  • the opportunity to present the idea at an EGEC event
  • the right to use the award logo on their publications.

The winner is announced at GeoTHERM Offenburg.

How to apply for the 2017 award

To make a nomination read the competition rules and download the application form. Nominations should be sent to the EGEC secretariat at egia@egec.org by 7th January 2017. More information can be found on the EGEC website.

Self-nomination is possible, and unsuccessful applications will be eligible for nomination at future awards.
