Tenaga Nasional Bhd has identified four sites for geothermal power plant projects in Malaysia. The sites are likely to be able to provide enough steam for more than 2 MW binary power plant.

Reported from Malaysia, Tenaga Nasional Bhd has identified four sites suitable for a geothermal power plant project in Malaysia.

The project is “currently at the initial stage of phase two whereby geophysics and sub-surface analysis has been carried out”.

The company is about 60 percent certain that the projects will be developed, with exploration drilling being the next step.  The sites identified have the potential to fuel a plant of more than 2 MW. The project will likely utilize binary technology.
