GeoGlobal Energy LLC announces key additions to its management at the headquarter in Washington/ DC, with the appointment of Michae J. Discenza Jr as CFO and Neil Williams as Managing Direct and Vice President Strategy.

Geothermal development company GeoGlobal Energy LLC (GGE) in a release, announced  “two key additions to its Senior Management Team. Michael J. Discenza Jr. joined GGE in May 2010 as Chief Financial Officer and Neil Williams joined the team as a Managing Director and Vice President Strategy in June 2010. Both will be working in GGE’s corporate headquarters in the Washington DC area.

“GGE is very excited to welcome Mike and Neil to the team,” said GGE President A. Michael Van Vleck. “We are building the most experienced technical, developmental and operational team in the geothermal industry. Mike and Neil are seasoned professionals in their respective fields, and will be integral to the execution of our projects and investments as they increase in both complexity and volume.”

Michael Discenza has 21 years experience in managing financial operations, emerging market lending, project finance, debt restructuring and asset management. As CFO of GGE, he manages all aspects of the company’s financial, accounting, human resources and administration activities. Mr. Discenza also has a key role in capital raising, financing of projects, capital deployment and strategic planning. He joins GGE from H2Gen Innovations, Inc., where he served as CFO for three years. Prior to H2Gen, Mr. Discenza was CFO and Senior Vice President of the U.S. Export-Import Bank of the United States. Mr. Discenza holds an M.B.A. in international business and finance from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University and a B.A. in economics from Colgate University.

Neil Williams comes to GGE with 18 plus years of experience in the electric power sector. Mr. Williams joins GGE from Mighty River Power, a major New Zealand utility and geothermal power station developer, owner and operator. At Mighty River Power, Mr. Williams served as Group Strategist. His extensive experience in all aspects of commercial geothermal development will lend to his position as Vice President Strategy at GGE. Prior to his position at Mighty River Power, Mr. Williams worked in banking and stock broking as an economist and equity analyst. Mr. Williams has a B.A. in economics from the University of Auckland.”
