Europe's largest geothermal trade show and congress, German GeoTherm Expo & Congress 2012 will take place March 1-2, 2012 in Offenburg/ Germany. The event also now calls for the submission of abstracts and announces a cooperation agreement with EGEC.

In a release Europe’s largest trade fair and congress for geothermal energy is announcing GeoTHERM – Expo & Congress 2011. The event will be taking place at 1-2 March 2012 in Offenburg, in the southwest of Germany.

Within the last five years GeoTHERM has been established as Europe’s largest trade fair and congress for shallow and deep geothermal energy. This development is going on. For this upcoming event in March 2012 the European Geothermal Energy Council (EGEC) and GeoTHERM have signed a cooperation agreement.

Especially the combination of trade fair and congress offers well-founded knowledge for research and practice as well as a perfect platform for exchange of experience and networking.

Last year over 130 exhibitors and 2,900 specialized visitors from 23 nations benefited from the opportunity to make valuable contacts. Cased by the high amount of international participants both congresses for shallow and deep geothermal energy will be simultaneously translated into English, French and German in 2012 as well.

The organization of the congress program is in progress. Until October 2011 all speakers who are interested in a congress speech can send their short abstract to the congress committee (via E-Mail: geotherm@messeoffenburg.de).

The specialized visitors and congress participants are: Architects, Engineers and planners, Qualified skilled workers, Geologists, Well diggers, Geothermal and drilling industry, Local authorities and administrations, Energy authorities and public utility companies, Operators and investors, Science and research.

All GeoTHERM tickets include congress and access to the expo.
