Geothermal areas in Adana, Agri, and Diyarbakir, Türkiye to be put up for tender
Three geothermal sites in the provinces of Adana, Agri, and Diyarbakir in Türkiye will be offered in an upcoming tender round.
The General Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration (MTA) will tender three licensed geothermal areas located in the provinces of of Adana, Agri, and Diyarbakir in Türkiye.
The tenders will happen via closed bidding on 15 April 2026, and will be held between 10:30 and 10:50 AM in the tender meeting rooms of the MTA General Directorate.
According to the announcement, licensed geothermal areas located in Çukurova district of Adana, Diyadin district of Agri, and Baglar district of Diyarbakir will be put up for tender. The estimated values of the areas subject to the tender range from TL 38.412 million to 100.571 million.
Those wishing to participate in the tender will be required to purchase the tender documents. These documents can be obtained from the Procurement and Sales Branch Directorate of the Machinery Supply Department of the MTA General Directorate for TK 200. The documents can also be examined at the administration’s address.
The sites being tendered are located in the Anatolian and South Türkiye regions, which has not seen as extensive of geothermal development as the western part of the country. Early efforts for geothermal projects are already ongoing in these regions, notably by GMK Enerji and Ignis Energy.
