Sarksan Energy is planning a 12-well exploratory drilling campaign to evaluate the geothermal potential of a license area in Bolu, Turkiye.

Sarksan Energy Industry and Trade Inc. (Sarksan Energy) is planning to drill twelve geothermal wells as part of an exploration license granted for an area located within the Yesilköy and Elmalik villages in the Merkez district of Bolu province, Turkiye.

Located on the North Anatolian fault line, Bolu has important geothermal resources and many hot springs. These include thermal tourism spots such as the springs in Karacasu, Mudurnu Babas and Sarot, and Seben Pavlu. Typical spring temperature is 42 to 44 degrees Celsius at 6.3 pH.

The exploration drilling phase aims to determine if there is a resource in the region that will support sustainable geothermal energy production. According to previous investigations and resistivity measurements, the inferred geothermal resources is t a depth of 700 to 1200 meters.
