In an interview with Padraig Hanly, Managing Director of UK based GT Energy, we hear about his companies plan for the development of geothermal district heating projects in the UK.

Particularly, the new project in the city of Manchester with a possible 10 MW thermal in capacity is an interesting project. This has the potential of heating around 10,000 houses, but the company is looking at larger customers, e.g. hospitals.

The company works on the Manchester project with utility E.on, who will be running the plant when it is ready.
