Bali Provincial Government continues to refuse the continuation of the geothermal project Geothermel Bedugul Tabanan due to environmental, customary and legal concerns.

Following yesterday’s post about the geothermal potential in Bali (ThinkGeoEnergy Link), local Indonesia news reinforce the opposition from local government to move the Bedugul geothermal project forward. The governor’s issues with the project gravitate towards environmental concerns, the legality of the project and the customs of Bali.
