IGC Invest Geothermal welcomes Jean-Jacques Graff, CEO of ÉS Géothermie in Strasbourg/ France and President of the French Geothermal Association as speaker. He will be talking about French tools for deep geothermal energy development.

IGC Invest Geothermal – the geothermal investment forum taking place tomorrow (Nov. 7) in Frankfurt/ Germany welcomes Jean-Jacques Graff, President of the French Geothermal Association, AFPG, as new speaker.

jean-jacques-graff_referenceMr. Graff will speak in Session II, the EGEC Policy Forum about Market Driving Forces, on “French tools for Deep Geothermal Energy development”.

Jean-Jacques Graff is also CEO of ÉS Géothermie in France, a subsidiary of ÉS (Électricité de Strasbourg). ÉS Géothermie is developing projects in the French part of the Upper Rhine Valley and owns licenses in the vicinity of Strasbourg.

Moreover, ÉS Géothermie operates two plants in the Alsace, one is the plant of Soultz-sous-Forêts, the first commercial operating EGS plant worldwide, which was developed since the 1970s as scientific project. The heating plant in Rittershoffen is also an EGS project, distributing heat to the 15 km distant starch company of Roquette Frères in Beinheim. The project was known as ECOGI, developed with state support of the French Caisse de Depot. At the moment ÉS is drilling wells for a heat project south of Strasbourg in the commune of Illkirch-Grafenstaden.
