Canadian Eavor Technologies, Inc. is seeking to fill a position of Senior Development Engineer to work on the company's closed-loop geothermal system in Canada and beyond.

Calgary, Canada -based Eavor Technologies Inc. is seeking a high performing, entrepreneurial Senior Development Engineer. Working within a multidisciplinary international team the candidate will use technical expertise, initiative, business acumen, and problem-solving skills to commercialize the world’s first closed-loop geothermal systems. The successful candidate will work on projects throughout North America, Europe, and Asia, and there is ample potential for career growth in our rapidly expanding technology start-up. Eavor is seeking a candidate with a technical background and experience building multidisciplinary development plans and business cases.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Work with the Geoscience, Engineering, and Sales team to advance projects through the project cycle, from concept to FEED
  • Integrate multidisciplinary information to build coherent technical development plans and associated business cases
  • Evaluate multiple development scenarios and select the optimum
  • Provide technical support and information to Sales or Joint Venture discussions with various partners and clients
  • Build and maintain techno-economic models
  • Build financial models at the project level and corporate level for subsidiaries and joint ventures
  • Write Technical Packages, and make presentations, outlining the business case for various assets, including all key technical information, decisions, and development plans
  • Portfolio Management – work closely with the Geoscience and Sales teams by defining and implementing a consistent scoring process
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to define regional business strategies for our key markets

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years professional experience
  • Minimum 2 years in a development engineer capacity: planning, coordinating multidisciplinary colleagues, developing oil and gas or geothermal assets
  • Investment Banking or Finance experience is considered an asset
  • Experience with VBA, Python, or Data Analytics software is considered an asset
  • Minimum Bachelor of Engineering Degree or similar STEM degree
  • Proven Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication abilities
