The new, 100% wholly owned subsidiary is headed by Managing Director Mr. Celal Tugcu a will be manufacturing the Radial Outflow Turbine from EXERGY.

The new company, trading under the name EXERGY TURKEY TURBIN ENERJI TEKNOLOJILERI A.S is headed by Managing Director Mr. Celal Tugcu. Based in the city of Izmir on the west coast of Turkey, the business will be responsible for the local manufacturing of the EXERGY Radial Outflow Turbine. By manufacturing the turbine within Turkey with skilled local labour and suppliers, EXERGY intends to qualify their customers for a higher feed-in tariff on geothermal energy production.

The increase in revenues, greater than 10., generated by this higher feed-in tariff will significantly increase the profitability and improve payback of any geothermal plant, giving EXERGY’s customers a unique advantage in the industry. The new factory will also house EXERGY’s local service team, equipment and spares. Being situated so close to the major geothermal areas will offer advantages in terms of speed of response and flexibility to customer requirements. The size of the Turkish factory and team will grow over the coming months, and updates will follow in future communications.

In addition to this exciting development, EXERGY can also announce that Calterra Energy will assist EXERGY with local sales and marketing within the Turkish market. Lead by Eren Ergin, Calterra brings more than a decade of experience within the Turkish marketplace, along with specialist ORC knowledge and experience. Eren Ergin can be reached directly at eren.ergin@calterraenergy.com
