Nominations are being accepted for the Ruggero Bertani Geothermal Innovation Awards until 28 December 2022.

The European Geothermal Energy Council (EGEC) has started to accept nominations for the 2023 Ruggero Bertani European Geothermal Innovation Award (EGIA). Nominations will be accepted until 28 December 2022. Nominations can be submitted via this link.

An initiative of the EGEC, the Ruggero Bertani EGIA is given to companies that have made outstanding contributions towards the field of geothermal energy in the form of innovative products, scientific research and project initiatives. Earlier this year, the 2022 EGIA was awarded to Baker Hughes for the project “Corrosion Resistant Podded Electrical Submersible Pump & Completion System.”

The competition is calling for European projects, processes, products, and initiatives from European companies, entities, or organizations across all value chain and geothermal applications, provided that they are located or have operations within Europe. The entry must cover a field application of a new concept or the development of an existing process or product to provide an innovative and sustainable approach, released within the previous year (01/01/2022 to 31/12/2022).
