Ciceksepeti, one of the country's online shopping giants, plans to grow orchids in greenhouses heated with geothermal in Afyon
Afyon has been hosting significant investments in geothermal greenhouse cultivation in recent years. With the announcement made by the company, a new one has been added to the geothermal greenhouse investors in Afyon. Çiçeksepeti, one of the online shopping giants, has announced its project to grow orchids, which it offers for sale, in greenhouses heated with geothermal.
The geothermal technological greenhouse project is planned to be built in Afyonkarahisar province, ?hsaniye district, Bozhuyuk Village. The total project cost of the greenhouses in the subject is calculated as approximately 91 million TL.
On 29.12.2021, the company announced that it had started the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process for geothermal resource exploration and geothermal greenhouse project.
There is also a re-injection well in the project, in which a total of 4 drillings are planned. Stating that it will first grow orchids offered for sale on its site in the geothermal technological greenhouses it will establish, the company will later expand its product range.
