Ormat Technologies inaugurates new manufacturing facilities to deliver full made-in-Turkey turbines to allow its customer profit from bonus payments under its favourable feed-in-tariff scheme.

During an eventful week for the geothermal sector in Turkey, with a World Bank Geothermal Workshop, the IGC Turkey geothermal conference, Ormat opened its newly established manufacturing facility in Izmir.

During the inauguration event, Isaac Angel, CEO of Ormat and Dr. Halit Kera cut the ribbon of the new facilities, in an event that brought together Turkey’s geothermal industry leaders.

The uniqueness of OrmaTurk manufacturing facility is the ability to manufacture all turbine components and then assemble them, all under Ormat’s strict standards of quality. The facility is operated by 20 Turkish employees, operating state-of- the-art machinery around the clock to meet deadlines to customers.
