Pre-tender request – Drilling of well for geothermal project in Slovakia

Slovak company PW Energy a.s. and its associates have released an early announcement on plans for drilling of at least one deep geothermal well at Ziar nad Hronom in Slovakia starting in the year 2022. The company has two geothermal projects under development. The company is planning to develop a geothermal power plant in Ziar nad Hronom and is currently in the final stages of an Environmental Impact Assessment.

As the exploratory well drilling is the next step in the development process after the EIA is completed, potential drilling service providers are sought in this pre-tender request for information, that is supposed to expedite the subsequent official tender.

Companies interested to provide drilling and related services are invited to read the project’s Terms of References (TOR) and to respond to the Request for Qualification (RFQ) and Budgeting requirements.

Depending upon success of initial well, a suite of additional wells maybe drilled at Ziar ad Hronom.

Completed RFQs and Budgeting are to be submitted by forty (40) days following the date of February 15, 2022. Deadline will be on Monday, March 28, 2022.

An official tender will be published and open for bids within the upcoming months.
