The annual Praxisforum Geothermie.Bayern has released the program for this key annual geothermal event in the fastest growing geothermal market in the middle of Europe.

The program for this year’s Praxisforum Geothermie.Bayern 2017, the key annual event on the geothermal development in Bavaria, has been released.

The event features two field trips, several key notes and discussion forums with simultaneous translation, an exhibition and the Praxisforum Lounge in the evening invite to inform and to network in Middle Europe’s most active geothermal market. The event focusses and facilitates the exchange of practical experience between developers, operators, industry and investors.

Enerchange, a PR- and event-agency now published the programme of the Praxisforum Geothermie.Bayern in Munich. The fifth event focusses on practical experiences and applications for geothermal energy generation in the Middle European geothermal hotspot of the Bavairan Molasse Basin. This year’s Praxisforum starts reverse towards the usual course: on September 11 there are two field trips offered, one guided by the Italian power plant supplier to visit one of their manufactured power plants, the second guided by the SWM to the new heating plant in Freiham.

The Congress Day, September 12, 2017 offers several keynotes and six Forums in total, three of them in English. One of the highlight will be Forum I about Energy Generation and Grid Connection in the morning. Speakers from the power plant manufacturers Turboden and Exergy, from the Technical University Munich, the developper Erdwärme Bayern, the electricity grid operator Bayernwerk as well as the Technical Supervisory Association TÜV Süd will present and discuss their role in the geothermal market. In addition to the framework for grid connection, regulations around the certification of geothermal power plants – obligatory in Germany – will also be discussed.

After lunch in the SWM-Salon, the event continues with key notes about project management and how to implement a successful project, among others with Prof. Hofstetter from the University Leoben and the RAG Energy Drilling, that announced recently their engagement in a geothermal project in Bavaria.

The afternoon is continued with three further forums: Forum V about Challenges of the Thermal water loop is simultaneous translated and Forum VI, the round table about Invest in Geothermal is in English. Here, the project Geretsried is introduced among others from the investor’s perspective byAuctus Capital. After these Forums all participants are invited to the Praxisforum Lounge, to fade the day with beer, wine and fingerfood in an ambient atmosphere.

The Praxisforum Geothermie.Bayern opens the geothermal energy market in the Bavarian Molasse Basin to the English speaking community/world/audience. In addition to the operating plants – some of them in operation for more than 15 years – the plants in development of Weilheim, where Enel is building a 20 MW power plant, Geretsried, Garching an der Alz with RAG as developer, are introduced. The Praxisforum Geothermie.Bayern focusses new developments, the regulatory framework, challenges and the technology development is shown and discussed. This is supported by the gold sponsors Rödl & Partner and SWM and the silver sponsors and the exhibitors. Until July 15, 2017, an early bird discount for registration is available.
