Registration is now open at super early-bird rates for the next edition of the GeoTHERM expo & congress, taking place on 25 and 26 February 2027 at Messe Offenburg in Germany.

“Over the past 20 years, GeoTHERM has evolved from a specialist event into one of the leading geothermal platforms. For us, this anniversary is not only an occasion to look back on an impressive success story, but above all an incentive to continue driving forward the future of sustainable energy supply together with the industry,” says Gabriele Weislogel, Project Manager of GeoTHERM.

The next iteration of GeoTHERM will be extra special as the trade fair celebrates its 20th anniversary. As the leading trade fair and conference for geothermal energy, the event has been bringing together experts from the worlds of science, business and industry for two decades, providing important impetus for the future of sustainable energy generation.

The anniversary edition of GeoTHERM promises to be a special trade fair experience, featuring the latest developments in the geothermal industry, innovative technologies, fascinating case studies, and a wide range of opportunities for professional exchange and networking.

As usual, the trade fair will be accompanied by the two scientific conferences on shallow and deep geothermal energy. Numerous specialist presentations will shed light on the latest research findings, technical developments and practical case studies.

Based on the numbers of GeoTHERM 2026 – which saw 8600 trade visitors and 302 exhibiting companies from around the world – next year’s trade fair is not to be missed.

GeoTHERM 2027 is still accepting papers for presentations on current developments in deep geothermal and shallow geothermal energy. The congress will place a particular focus on sector coupling, as well as on the interfaces and synergies between geothermal energy and the oil & gas, mining, and subsurface utilisation sectors.

Proposals may be for presentations or scientific posters in German or English. A requirement is an extended abstract of no more than three A4 pages, stating the title, the presenter, the language of the presentation and the topic area. Papers for the GeoTHERM Congress may be submitted until 31 August 2026.
