Technip and Oski Energy signed an exclusive license purchase agreement with Kalex to jointly license and market Kalex Geothermal Systems Technology worldwide, a technology using a unique ammonia-water binary cycle process for power generation.

Announced today, “Technip and Oski Energy signed an exclusive license purchase agreement with Kalex to jointly license and market Kalex Geothermal Systems Technology worldwide. This advanced, second generation power plant technology is a unique ammonia-water binary cycle process that can generate from 15% to over 30% more electric power than traditional binary systems over a wide range of geothermal resource temperatures.

This collaboration will provide geothermal power producers with Kalex technology sublicenses, world renowned engineering, procurement, construction, start-up and operational advisory services, along with bankable guarantees, enabling the economic exploitation of both low and medium temperature resources.

This agreement, which is effective immediately, will use the resources of Technip’s operating center in Claremont, California and Oski Energy’s operating center in Reno, Nevada. It is testimony of Technip and Oski Energy’s commitment to developing sustainable renewable energy sources.”
